س: السلام عليكم، كتبت شيكات لصديق من أجل مساعدته لاستئجار محل على أن تُستبدَل عند فتح حساب بنكي خاص به، لكنه تمنع وهرب خارج الإمارات. صاحب العقار يطالبني بقيمة شيكات مرتجعة. هناك ٣ شيكات مرتجعة قيمة كل شيك ٨٤٠٠٠ درهم. ليس لي أي منفعة من العقار؛ مجرد أنني أعطيت شيكات بحسن النية لحين الاستبدال. تواصلت مع صاحب العقار وأبلغته أنه يجب عليه تنفيذ إخلاء المحل وإيقاف صرف الشيكات، لكنه يرفض. صاحب العقار أقام دعوى تنفيذ يطالب بتسديد مبلغ ٨٤٠٠٠ درهم ثم دعوى أمر على عريضة ومنع السفر بحقي. يطالب بمبلغ ١٨٨٠٠٠ درهم ومنع السفر. كيف أستطيع إيقاف ما تبقى من الشيكات حتى لا يصبح المبلغ أكبر والقضية تتوسع؟ ولكم جزيل الشكر! أسئلة وأجوبة

Can I resign and join a new company without affecting my settlement claim?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I recently filed a complaint with MOHRE and received a call from them today asking for my claims. I am working as an electrical engineer under a limited contract. My start date was March 10, 2022, but my labor contract was not completed until April 24, 2022. - My offer letter states that my salary is 25,000 AED per month, but my employer made my labor contract state that my salary is 15,000 AED per month. The employer has paid me partial salaries as he wished, sometimes 25,000 AED and sometimes 15,000 AED. As of today, my partial/pending salaries total 150,000 AED in 14 months of service. - The employer has failed to provide me with medical health insurance. Also, as per my offer letter, the employer agreed to provide medical health insurance to my family. However, the employer has failed to reimburse me for any submitted bills. - The employer has failed to pay my annual leave. In such a scenario, what will happen with MOHRE? I'm Asian and married to Emirati national with 4 children. How to get their passports?
Q: I`m Asian and married to Emirati national with 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl). Due to financial problems, my husband decided to send us to my home country way back in 2011 and now it`s already 2023. He never showed up since then with no financial support. My children are already grown up, the eldest is 22 y/o, the second is 20 y/o, the third is 19 y/o and the last is 14 y/o. Since he left us in my home country, he took all my childrens` passports with him and has no plans to give them back. What is the best way to get my childrens` passports back from their father since they are holding Emirati national passports, they don`t want to lose their citizenship. We`ve tried complaining to the embassy but there was no good result. The only advice they gave is to contact the father, but the father always ignores all the calls and messages. Faulty used car purchase and uncooperative seller. What to do?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I bought a car from a seller 10 days ago. They texted me on WhatsApp saying that the car was in good condition and didn`t require any work. They only mentioned a minor accident. However, I cannot drive the car now because the number plate was canceled during the vehicle transfer process. When I asked about the vehicle`s slow acceleration, they told me these cars are usually like that. Ten days after the name transfer, I noticed a coolant leak and went to a repair shop. The repair shop informed me of a mix-up between the coolant and the transmission oil. They advised me to take the car to a service center. However, when I went there, they informed me that they had given a quotation of 47,000 AED in December for the same issue but it was not attended to. Due to this issue, I have held the cheque from the bank to the seller and asked them to take the car back. Dismissed labor case due to absence: How to re-register it?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I registered a labor case on February 22, 2023, and paid the court fees. However, I have not received any communication from Dubai Courts since then. On March 9 at 10:22 PM, I received an email from the Dubai Court stating that the case had been dismissed because the plaintiff (me) had not appeared.
