Can I hold the delivery of goods to a buyer outside the UAE if he defaulted on payment?
Q: I, as a UAE-based Seller, entered a sales agreement with a KSA-based Buyer. The Buyer defaulted on the LC payment, breaching the contract. The goods are stuck at the port as they need original documents, which I am holding to recover the outstanding balance. They later made a partial payment but now threaten to cash the PBG (UAE bank) I provided if don`t release the document. The contract mandates DIAC arbitration but lacks a governing law clause. I need advice on: 1. Which law applies to this dispute? 2. Where can I seek an injunction to prevent PBG encashment, given the Buyer’s bad faith and breach? Or should I send a letter to their bank with the brief above? Kindly advise.

Can I file a case against a bank for sharing private info with all staff for my credit card application?
Q: I have applied for a credit card with a well-known bank here in Dubai. During the verification course from the bank, they sent my salary certificate to our company`s info at an email address to which half of the staff have access. I have been told by several members of my staff, that they received this email. I am the Deputy CEO of the company and obviously, this is not a light matter. I have contacted the bank and they have offered me vouchers for AED 1000 and then 2000 but I want to press charges for a serious offence and go for punitive damage. I know the latter is not a usual practice in the UAE, but I want to explore my options. I have also informed the Central Bank, but they say I must wait 30 days before proceeding.

Can the company pay the labor execution amount in cash rather than in court?
Q: I opened execution one month ago and Abu Dhabi labor enforcement already seized the trade license, company cars, and bank accounts Now the company called and offered to give me the money but they want to give me cash at Enjaz office Mussafah in Abu Dhabi. I heard that once the execution is opened, the company must deposit the amount in the enforcement labor court only. Then, the court will transfer the amount into my bank account and I already provided my bank account details while opening execution before. Actually, I am not satisfied with getting cash money in this way. I feel satisfied with getting money through court and I don’t know why the company wants to give cash. Please advise me, should I receive cash money in this way in Enjaz office or should I refuse with the company and tell them to deposit it in the court bank account? As per law, what should I do?
