Q: My wife filed a divorce case due to harm. It was rejected as there was a reconciliation between us, and she took back the police complaint. That`s why the court rejected her case. Now she filed an appeal with the same allegation without any new incident or any new evidence. There is no police report or medical report in the appeal court. She made many wrong allegations, which I defended; however, tomorrow we have the judgment. If her appeal is accepted and the previous judgment is reversed, what are my options? Can I file an appeal in the appeal court, or do I have to go to a higher court, as the first judgment was in my favor? And if her appeal got rejected, what are the options she will have?

Q: I am writing to formally seek your guidance and assistance regarding my Technical Trade License and associated joint bank account. I hold a Technical Trade License together with my business partner, Mr. K. M., who has been out of the country for the past 2–3 months. During this period, he has been unreachable and has not responded to any calls or communication. Additionally, my partner has taken an amount of AED 30,000 from me, which has not yet been repaid. We also maintain a joint bank account under the company, which I wish to close. However, the bank requires both partners’ signatures for cancellation. As my partner is absent and not cooperating, I am unable to proceed. In view of the above, I kindly request your advice and support on the following: - The process to remove my partner’s name from the Trade License. - Guidance on how to proceed with closing or freezing the joint bank account in the absence of my partner’s signature. What can our company do if the client cancelled the order and threatened to file a case for the cancellation fee?
Q: Salaam Alekum We had a client from the US who had an agreement with us for 19-20 big buses for 20 days of transport service in KSA. They cancelled 12 buses and then the entire order 2-3 days before the event. They paid around 25% of the total cost initially agreed on 50% before the event. We have been keeping those buses on hold for more than 1 month, not taking other bookings, and facing losses. My company is charging them 50% cancellation fees because of last-minute cancellation, but now the client is threatening us to take legal action and doing PR advisement by asking for the deposit they paid. Our policy is refund will be issued within 45 days after internal investigation, but the client is threatening us again. We don`t give a refund if the cancellation is done by the client and mentioned on the invoice as well. In this case, we are considering a solution which takes time. What can we do in this situation, as we have already faced lots of loss?

Visa cancelled, salary unpaid. How to check if my UAE employer filed absconding?
Q: Hello, My visa has automatically been closed since I’m outside the UAE. But my company didn’t pay me the final month’s salary and settlement. I submitted my resignation from outside the UAE, as the company suggested I take a leave instead when I resigned from there. Now I filed a complaint through MOHRE customer service for the salary, but the response was that they couldn’t find any issue. I’m not sure how the company cancelled my visa without clearing the payment. How can I check if they have filed an absconding case?
