How can I split joint property with my ex-wife and sell my share?
Q: Assalamu Alaikum My ex-wife and I live in Canada. We co-own a property in Dubai. I own 75% of a property and my ex-wife owns 25%. I want to sell my share of the property. She refers me to her lawyer in Canada who doesn`t practice law in Dubai. I don`t want to spend extra fees when corresponding with her counsel in Canada. Should I go to Dubai court and force her to buy my share or sell hers?

I have a pending loan and a credit card due to job loss. How to reach an easy payment plan?
Q: I have a personal loan and a credit card and due to job loss, I was struggling to find a way to pay the dues. I have 3 months` dues left and my credit card as well is pending. I did inform the bank about the job loss, however, they have bounced the cheque and a travel ban has been initiated. Now I`m paying back the dues little by little, however, the bank called and asked me to pay an amount that I cannot afford at this moment. They are proceeding with the full amount recovery procedure. Recently, I have acquired a low-paying job and have asked the bank to give me 2 months of time to stabilize things. However, they refused and said they could not. What can I do here? Please suggest a way out here. My last visa got canceled and currently on a visit visa. Will I be able to get an internal visa extension here? I want to continue here in the UAE, but the bank is making my life hell and giving me mental breakdowns and torture by collection calls.

What can I do in case of threatening and defaming for a disputed debt?
Q: I am in Abu Dhabi. Someone was disputing about the money he says I owe him. On WhatsApp, I told him if you have a problem, you can complain or report that. Then he started sending me messages saying that I was a liar and a scam. And that he will come to my residential building and tell everyone that I am a liar and scammer, and he will come to my apartment and take the money he claims it’s his. He also made a racial comment about my home country (that this is UAE and not your home country where you can scam people). He also mentioned something bad about my family. I reported this to the police with screenshots of the chat. What else can I do in this case of threatening and defaming?

Q: I bought a car from a dealer and paid all costs in cash. They promised to deliver the car within 2-3 days of receiving the full amount. I paid and forwarded the proof of payment to them on Monday 14 October 2024. I do have a vehicle sales agreement benefiting only the dealer. Today after begging for a follow-up, they informed me that the car will be delivered next week. What is my legal position? Can I cancel the deal and demand a return of my money? Please revert+5

I am seeking guidance on the legal requirements for hiring chauffeurs who already possess valid visas, as I do not intend to provide visas myself. Specifically, I would like to know which documents I must prepare to comply with UAE law, aside from a contractual agreement. Is it necessary to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the company that issued their current visa? I had a misdemeanor case, and the judge reviewed my bank transactions, asking why there were so many incoming and outgoing transactions. I explained that I buy and sell USDT on Binance P2P. The judge then asked if I have a license to buy and sell crypto, and I said no. The case status is postponed, and the next hearing is scheduled for November 6. Should I raise a case for child custody if my ex-wife is alcoholic and left us alone?
Q: A police complaint was filed for physical assault and alcohol abuse. The wife left home without the child and later was interviewed by social support. The wife was guilty after admitting the truth and gave a written statement to visit a psychiatrist and take therapy. She didn`t adhere to the agreement. Followed by a court case, divorce was granted to the husband based on infidelity, neglect, alcohol abuse, failure in maternal duties, verbal abuse, and misuse of social media under article 7 of federal law 41 of 2022, and the wife was obligated to pay expenses and fees under Article 133 of the Civil Procedures Code. The child has been physically with the husband since October 2023 and the entire expenses and well-being are taken care of by the husband. The ex-wife irregularly visits the child, doesn`t provide personal or financial support, forces the husband to give the child a passport and doesn`t want to raise it with the court, and continues to distress claiming that she has not given custody of the child. Should I raise a case for proof of custody or child custody?

Can we cancel a car purchase under a 14-day withdrawal right without paying for value loss?
Q: Dear Lawyers, We bought a new car at a dealership but changed our minds for various reasons. When we purchased it, we signed a 14-day right to withdraw, which we now want to exercise.
