How to appeal a civil case judgment if it was based on a forged document?
Q: Hi all professionals, I lost a civil case against a fraud immigration consultant based in Dubai on 14 March 2024. I was the plaintiff and I had paid AED 24600 to him for migrating to Canada. He submitted a forged document on 7 Dec 2023 with his memo. I replied to that and submitted the original document which I received from the government of Canada the same document which this company had forged. Despite that, the court gave the judgment based on the fake document submitted by the defendant, and it is the final judgment. How can I appeal as I have been told that I can`t file an appeal against this final judgment? How can a judge pass judgment on a fake document? Please advise. أسئلة وأجوبة

Tenant always late with payments, hasn't renewed contract. What to do?
Q: Hello, I have a tenant who is always late with their payment. Their renewal was supposed to be last December 2023. Currently, they have not signed any new contract, provided any new cheques, and have stayed for three months from December until now without paying rent. Additionally, I just discovered that they have sublet the apartment with partitions, which is clearly stated as not allowed in the old contract. I have bounced cheques. Will Dubai Police consider this as a criminal offence?
Q: Hello, I have issued 3 cheques in the total amount of AED 46,000 as salaries for my worker and due to insufficient balance, 2 cheques have been bounced. But recently, the same current account has been closed by the bank (Due to multiple cheques bounced). The third cheque he deposited last week and that cheque bounced due to account closing. He is willing to file a police complaint and does not want to settle this amicably. I already obtained a letter from the bank that the bank itself closed the account. My question is will Dubai Police consider this a criminal offense? Any advice to resolve this matter would be appreciated.

Can I file a complaint against my company for delaying my salary 5 months?
Q: Hello, I have been working in the UAE as an expatriate for the past 7 months in a company but they are delaying my salary for multiple months. I have pending salaries of 4-5 months, and no proper response while asking. They didn`t provide medical insurance also to the employees as per the UAE labor law. All the employees have had these salary delay issues for the past 3-4 years. They are not fulfilling the salary increments or whatever benefits they accepted during the interview. Can wife's abusive messages compromise case against scammer?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, There`s a guy who scammed me out of 150k AED with false documents. There`s already a criminal case ongoing against him; however, I wasn`t aware of it at the time of the dealing. Every time I tried to sort things out with him, he made me wait for hours and didn`t show up. In short, he gave me false hopes, and now he`s been completely out of touch for 4 months. When we were finally able to contact him, my wife sent him abusive messages out of frustration because he was spreading lies about us. Now, with all the evidence I have, I want to file a civil case against him. Could the abusive messages my wife sent backfire in any way? I have all the documents he gave, along with some voice notes where he clearly states that he scammed us with false documents. But this guy is very shrewd. What can I do if the developer canceled my unit and did not refund my deposit?
Q: Hi, I paid a 24% deposit and 4% DLD and my SPA was voided the next day after I signed the SPA. After many emails and telephone calls to the developer, I was told that due to some issues with the booking, they could not proceed with the unit I booked. They were offering an alternative unit about 20 floors lower or a bigger unit at a higher price. Both alternatives were not acceptable. The developer then said that they would cancel and refund the money. I was waiting for their email to confirm this and was wondering what I could do if the developer did not return all the money. How to respond when company account funds are seized without notice?
Q: Good afternoon, Respected Lawyers! I live in Ajman. I am facing a situation where I suddenly received a message in my LLC company account SMS stating that a certain amount has been debited and seized by court. The debited amount is too high and the company account had very little cash so it`s showing in minus. Without any calls from the court for a case hearing or judgment, I found this execution message straight away in my bank account SMS. Today, I found the very same message & same amount debited from my personal account too. How is it that the same amount will be taken twice, I have an LLC company and I even own property that is under mortgage. Still trying to get all the details from the court regarding the case that led to this execution. Can this be appealed and come to a better conclusion?
