Can I resign during probation without paying the training and visa costs mentioned in the contract?
Q: Hello, A month ago, I joined a company with a probation period of six months, but now I have received another opportunity that is better for me. However, my contract states that I must pay 5,000 AED to my current employer for training and visa costs if I choose to terminate the contract of my own free will. However, I have not received any training so far. The contract states: The Second Party shall be obliged to pay back the value of the training (which is estimated at an amount of 5,000 AED) when they terminate the employment contract based on their own free will (within one year) from the date of commencement of their contract, without prejudice to the First Party`s legal or contractual obligations. (The amount agreed upon for the value of the training period must be commensurate with the employment period of the employee). Can I resign from my current company and join another without paying?

How to claim damages from a car repair shop after my car stopped after maintenance at their shop?
Q: I have a dispute with a car repair shop. After car maintenance in their shop, I started to suffer problems with the gearbox, until the car stopped. After the gearbox inspection, water was found mixed with gearbox oil. Water presence should be impossible by design. I claim a maintenance mistake during their job whilst they are defending themselves by claiming possible car misuse. Car risk to be totaled by possible less than adequate maintenance. I need legal advice.

Can I claim my labor dues from a closed company through bounced cheques in 2018?
Q: Hello I was employed by a company in 2017 that failed to pay my salary. Since I urgently needed a new job to manage my expenses, the management gave me three cheques amounting to roughly 45,000. I signed the final settlement, which states that the remaining amount will be paid in cheques. Prior to me cashing the cheques, they had paid roughly 6,000 in cash. Since it`s been a long time, I cannot locate the payment slip. Since they failed to pay the rest of the amount, I went ahead to cash the cheques and they bounced. I then registered a case with the Dubai police in April 2018. It`s been nearly 7 years and the status on the Dubai Police site shows as "Awaiting approval/Bank reply". I have the following questions: 1. Is there any way to recover this amount? 2. What is the best option to pursue? Civil case or a labor case with the free zone? However, the company no longer exists as far as I know, how does it work? 3. What does the status awaiting approval/bank reply mean?

Q: Hello, I was involved in an appeal process and just received this notification from the court. What does it mean? As the appellee, does this confirm that I won the case? The judgment was scheduled to be delivered in today`s hearing, and the court decided in chambers as follows: Accepting the appeal in form. Dismissing the appeal on the merits and upholding the appealed judgment. Ordering the appellant to bear the costs of the appeal.

A court order was issued against me based on fake witness about documents. How to convert that in my appeal?
Q: The complainant said in a complaint that I received the shipping documents from him. However, this is a lie and he and his fake witness (his friend) only said that to trap me in this case. They never presented any written paper, receiving or CCTV camera, or any sort of evidence. The judge still ordered a punishment and I made an appeal in Ajman.
