Can you renew your visa if you have a pending case for credit card?
Q: Good morning. I would like to ask if an individual can renew his or her visa if she/he has a case for having payments on a credit card. Since October 2022, monthly dues were not paid but monthly she/he is paying the minimum amount of 1000 to 700. Now one month is missed. He keeps on requesting an extension but unfortunately no response and no confirmation from the bank and third party. Currently, he was receiving notifications in WhatsApp and in the mail that he needs to settle his credit payment by today. But unfortunately, he doesn`t have yet the amount to pay. 30k is the outstanding payable amount on the card. As per the notification, a travel ban might be implemented and the account name will be blacklisted if he can`t pay today itself. What should be the steps to be done? Rights of a 50% partner when managing partner withholds financial information
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am a 50% partner in a civil company and my partner is the managing partner. I live abroad in Europe and the managing partner is not providing 6 months of interim accounts, invoices proof, expenses, and sales generated upon my requests. Dismissed labor case due to absence: How to re-register it?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I registered a labor case on February 22, 2023, and paid the court fees. However, I have not received any communication from Dubai Courts since then. On March 9 at 10:22 PM, I received an email from the Dubai Court stating that the case had been dismissed because the plaintiff (me) had not appeared. Can I open a free zone company in Dubai and to have subsidiaries in other countries?
Q: I am planning on setting up a company in a free zone in Dubai (DUQE or Meydan). The company will not be conducting any business activities in Dubai but will be mainly formed to fully own an existing consulting and innovation hub company in Tanzania. The reason we are registering a company here is to make it easy for us to raise investments. I wanted to know: 1- if any of the laws in the UAE prohibit free zone companies from owning subsidiaries abroad 2- if there is any requirement to register foreign subsidiaries with any authority in the UAE 3- if there is any ban on free zone companies raising money that will be used to fund its subsidiaries and operations abroad 4- if there is any requirement for free zone companies in the zones mentioned above to submit audited financial statements or reports on an annual basis Thanks in advance أسئلة وأجوبة

What can I do if the tenant of my villa makes changes without my consent?
Q: I have a villa in Dubai and the rent contract between us and the tenant stipulates that the tenant can not make any modifications or changes to the villa without the owner’s written consent. I found that the tenant had made additions that can damage the structure of the villa, also he neglected the swimming pool maintenance and stopped the garden irrigation system for the garden under the pretext that he does not need the swimming pool and the garden. I spoke with him and he claimed that when he leaves the villa in the future he would repair the damage. Note that he entered the construction materials from the gate of the complex without taking the approval of the developer. I sent him a warning through the notary to remove the added structure and repair the damages within a period of thirty days, but he ignored the warning. The initial estimate of the damage is much more than his deposit with us. Please advise أسئلة وأجوبة

كيف يمكنني بيع السيارة إذا لم أكمل سداد قرضها قبل مغادرة الإمارات؟

Partners in conflict: Legal implications of unpaid loans in a civil company
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Effect of company manager issuing company check that bounces My civil company has two partners. Each partner is also the manager. The company took a loan of 260,000 AED from a friend. I want to return the loan but my other partner does not want to pay. What will happen if I issue cheques from the company account, they bounce, and the other party starts a cheque enforcement case against the company? Then each partner will pay the debt in the ratio of their shares. Will I be jailed or have to pay a fine due to signing a company cheque that bounced? My alternate method is to issue an acknowledgment and the creditor does Amr al Arida "performance order" case, but I want to reduce court costs.2023/03/03

Forced to pay visa cost and terminated for another's mistake. What to do?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am working in a company on probation for 2 months. Due to a mistake done by the former employee who worked in my position, the employer gave me a termination letter with 30 days` notice without considering my explanation. Also, the prior employee came to train me for these two months and his payment was deducted from my salary. The employer asked me to pay more than 6000 AED as visa cost from this month`s & next month`s salary. As per the contract letter I signed with him, there is a clause as I have to bare the cost of employment (visa related) if terminated on probation. Will I go to jail in my home country if I do not settle the amount of a personal loan?
Q: I found out that I have a cheque execution case in Dubai court. I was even surprised because I haven`t received any message from Dubai Police, there`s no case that`s been filed under my name. Due to the pandemic, I lost my job and came back to my home country. I used to work in a bank, I had CC and a personal loan. Last year, the amount that I need to pay to them was AED 60k including the interest. And now with the case, they`re demanding I pay 138k. I`m scared to go to jail especially since I have 4 kids, and a father who will go for another heart operation. What do I do? Is there any way I can reduce the amount?
