Is it legal to terminate me and make me pay for cancellation of visa?
Hi,
My company laid me off and refused to pay my salary for that month and also asked me to pay for my visa cancellation.
Please advise if it is legal to make me pay for the cancellation of my visa after the company laid me off with no notice or warning letter, I did not resign.
I have a new company and they are asking for cancellation papers to apply for my new visa.
Please what can I do?
You must register a complaint with MOHRE at the earliest. Have you subscribed to the employee insurance scheme?
Visit the nearest Tasheel Center and file a case against your employer for terminating you, not paying your salary, and also asking you to pay for visa cancellation.
