I paid for a partner visa but never received it. How can I recover my money?
Hello,
I have a friend who has an agency that promised me a partner's visa. She told me the payment would be 7800 AED full package, then I paid over half, 4900 AED, last October 2024.
But up until February 2025, I still didn’t receive any documents from her. So I decided to apply somewhere else, and I got my investor's visa already.
Now, I am asking for a refund, but until now, she is not giving it to me and not replying to my messages. What do I do with this?
Hello!
You can send the Agency a legal notice and claim the amount. If they don't respond, then you can go ahead with a complaint to the Consumer Protection Department.

Dear Inquirer,
Thank you for your message!
If your friend received payment under the promise of securing a partner visa and failed to deliver or refund the amount, this may constitute a breach of agreement or even fraud, depending on the details and evidence available.
You have the right to pursue legal action to recover your funds.
We recommend booking a consultation with us to review your documents and assist you in taking the proper legal steps, including filing a police complaint or a civil claim if necessary.
We're here to support you in protecting your rights.
As per UAE law, if someone takes payment for a service like a partner visa and fails to deliver without refunding you, it may be considered a breach of contract or even fraud under Articles of the UAE Civil Transactions Law and Penal Code.
You should gather all evidence (receipts, messages, agreements) and first try to resolve it by sending a legal notice.
If there’s no response, you can file a police complaint for fraud or open a civil case to recover your money.
Acting promptly increases your chances of recovery. Contact us for legal support.
Thank You!

If you transferred the money through a bank and have evidence proving the transaction, you can file a case against her to recover the amount.
