My brother in law is in jail for buying alcohol without a license. How can we prevent his deportation?
My brother has been in Warsan jail since Monday for buying alcohol without a license and the police say he is selling it.
They took his car, and now they are requesting an air ticket and passport for deportation.
Kindly help us to lift the deportation, he has a family and work here. It's difficult for us to accept the deportation.
Please help Us.
Dear J.,
Thank you for sharing the details regarding your brother-in-law’s case. Given the seriousness of the charges and the potential deportation, I recommend the following steps:
Legal Representation: It is crucial to consult with us as a lawyer who can challenge the allegations and potentially reduce the charges. We will also work to delay or lift the deportation order.
Challenging Charges: If your brother-in-law is accused of selling alcohol without evidence, we can investigate further and dispute the allegations.
Family & Employment: His family ties and employment in the UAE can be presented to request clemency or a reduced penalty.
Clemency/Pardon: A request for clemency may be possible if he has no prior criminal record and shows remorse.
Bail/Temporary Relief: We can also seek bail while the case is ongoing to prevent deportation.
Appeal: If deportation is ordered, an appeal can be filed to challenge the decision.
Please let me know if you need help finding one or need further assistance.
Best regards,

Hello,
File an appeal or request clemency or leniency with the authorities, showing why deportation would cause undue hardship.
If deportation has already been confirmed, your lawyer might be able to file a temporary suspension to delay the deportation while the appeal process takes place.
Greetings,
Your brother-in-law’s case is serious, as alcohol-related offenses, especially allegations of selling without a license, can lead to deportation and legal consequences in the UAE.
Since authorities have already requested a ticket and passport, this indicates a potential administrative deportation order.
To explore legal options to challenge the deportation or mitigate penalties, urgent legal intervention is required.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for bringing this sensitive matter to our attention. I understand the gravity of the situation involving your brother-in-law and the impact it has on your family.
Given the circumstances you've described, I would strongly advise the following course of action:
1. Legal Representation: Engage a qualified UAE-based criminal defense lawyer immediately. They can provide expert guidance on navigating the legal system and potentially negotiating with authorities.
2. Consular Assistance: Contact your country's embassy or consulate in the UAE. While they cannot interfere with legal proceedings, they may offer valuable support and advice.
3. Documentation: Gather any relevant documents that may support your case, such as proof of employment, family ties, and character references from respected community members.
4. Appeal Process: If a formal deportation order has been issued, inquire about the possibility of an appeal. Your legal representative can advise on the viability and process for this.
Please note that alcohol-related offenses are treated very seriously under UAE law, and overturning a deportation decision can be challenging.
The presence of family and employment, while important, may not be sufficient grounds for leniency in such cases.
I strongly recommend acting swiftly and seeking professional legal counsel to explore all available options. They will be best equipped to provide tailored advice based on the specific details of your case and current legal procedures.
If you require any further clarification or assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.
Yours sincerely,
ABDUL WAHIED
