Does the ex-employer need to have your new employer visa information to pay your final salary?

Does the ex-employer need to have your new employer visa application information before paying the final salary?

The company canceled the old visa, and all documents, including the flight ticket, were submitted. However, the final salary has not yet been received, as the company is asking for new visa application information from the new employer.

Your ex-employer is not required to have the new employer’s visa application details to release your final salary.

According to UAE labor laws, your final settlement, including salary, should be paid upon the completion of the employment contract, regardless of your new employer’s visa status.

No, your ex-employer does not have the legal right to demand information about your new employer's visa application before paying your final salary.

The UAE Labor Law clearly states that employers are obligated to pay employees their final dues upon termination of employment.

There is no legal provision that allows an employer to withhold final salary based on the employee's subsequent employment.

Now you may send a formal written demand to your ex-employer, stating that you are legally entitled to your final salary.

Cite the relevant provisions of the UAE Labor Law. Clearly state that you are not obligated to provide information related to your new employment.
