Hello,

The term "Governed" typically indicates that the case has been decided or is in the process of being finalized.

Specifically, it can mean that the court has reached a decision or that the matter is being handled according to legal procedures, and no further action or hearing is currently required unless there are additional developments.

So, it's not yet certain if it is close or not?

20 Jan 2025, 05:40

The status "Governed" does not definitively indicate that your case is either closed or resolved.

It suggests that the court has taken a step in the process—likely in the direction of reaching a decision or preparing for the next step.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.

The term "Governed" as a case status after a hearing is not a standard legal term, and its meaning may vary depending on the specific court system or jurisdiction.

Without more context, it's challenging to provide a definitive explanation. To understand what this status means for your case:

1. Contact the court clerk or your legal representative for clarification.

2. Review any court-provided documentation explaining case statuses.

3. Check for any pending actions or decisions related to your case.

If you're representing yourself, consider consulting a legal professional to interpret this status and understand its implications.

The term might indicate that a decision has been made or that certain rules now apply to your case, but official clarification is necessary.

Thanks & Regards,

ABDUL WAHIED

Good afternoon,

The verdict in your criminal case indicates that the court found you guilty of the charge brought against you.

The specific meaning of the judgment is as follows:

- The court ruled that you were guilty of the offense with which you were charged.

- The punishment imposed is a monetary penalty of AED 5,000. This fine must be paid as per the court’s instructions.

In addition to the fine, you are required to pay the judicial fees prescribed for the case. These are administrative costs associated with the legal process.

Since the ruling states that it was made "in his presence," it implies that you were either present in court during the pronouncement or were deemed to have been properly notified of the proceedings.

If you wish to challenge this ruling or need assistance in complying with the judgment, please feel free to contact me via phone or email for further guidance.

I'm just confused. If I'm guilty of the accusation, why is the verdict to pay only the fine and not the amount of the cheque?

20 Jan 2025, 12:20

This judgment pertains only to the criminal aspect, while the claimant retains the right to file a civil case later to claim the cheque amount.

A status of “Governed” signifies that your case is now subject to specific legal standards and procedures that will guide its progression toward resolution.

Dear Questioner,

Thanks for your inquiry!

In the context of UAE legal proceedings, the status "Governed" typically refers to the fact that the case has been reviewed and a decision has been made by the court. This can mean that:

- Judgment Issued:

The court has issued its ruling or decision, and it is now in a phase where the judgment is being processed. This could involve the implementation of the decision, or awaiting enforcement or further actions.

- Case Administration:

The case may have moved to an administrative stage, where the court is finalizing necessary formalities, such as the issuance of official documents or orders related to the case.

Since you mentioned that your hearing was conducted last week, it is likely that the court has either made a decision or is in the process of preparing to issue a formal judgment.

To get a more precise update, I recommend contacting your lawyer or checking with the court’s records.

If you need more assistance or further clarification, feel free to ask.

Best regards,
