What to do to let my employer process my visa cancellation after its expiry?
I'm having issues with visa cancellation with my employer after visa expiration, which is currently hindering my vacation visa processing.
In the UAE, it’s the employer's responsibility to cancel your visa once your employment ends.
They should complete the visa cancellation process as soon as the employment ends or the contract is terminated.
If your employer is unresponsive or delaying the visa cancellation, you can visit the GDRFA or ICA yourself to inquire about the cancellation process. Ensure that you are not listed as an absconder or flagged for any violations.
It's important to resolve the visa cancellation issue with your employer as soon as possible, as any delays may affect your ability to process your vacation visa.
If the employer is uncooperative, there are legal avenues available to address this, including lodging a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources or the Labor Court.
Once your visa cancellation is confirmed, you should be able to process your new vacation visa without any further complications.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question!
I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
Visa cancellation issues with your employer can hinder your vacation visa processing, especially if your visa has expired and you are within the grace period.
Your employer is responsible for initiating the cancellation, so it's important to contact the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) for assistance if they are uncooperative.
Promptly addressing this situation is crucial to avoid fines or complications that could affect future visa applications.
