How the change of company name affects its contracts?

If a company changes its name under the same license, does it need to amend all the contracts entered?

Article 12 (2) of Federal Law 2 of 2015 provides that a company may change its name to another name and such a name change will not affect its rights or obligations or any legal proceedings initiated by or against the company. Therefore, although you may not be required to subsequently amend the contracts entered into by the company if the company name has been changed, you may consider notifying the parties to the contracts.

Dear Kushagra,

Thanks for replying.

It is a real estate developer company whose name got changed without changing the trade license (i.e.trade license got renewed in the same old parameters). It has an MOU with an owners association for managing the maintenance and service charge collection of a building.

Do we need to redraft the MOU with the owners association? (expecting the answer in the point of view of Owners Association)
