Does my release from the police mean the complainant dropped the case?
Dear Lawyers,
I was detained yesterday at Al Barsha Police Station regarding a complaint against me for theft. I was released this afternoon. The police told me I am released, but they didn't give me any paperwork.
My relatives went to the police station, and they were informed that I am "clear" and released. I checked the Dubai app with my case number, and there is no judgment date, session number, or prosecution date.
Does this mean the complainant dropped the case and the travel ban is lifted?

You should follow up on that complaint with the reference number they might have given you at Al Barsha Police Station.
Dear valued customers,
We can perform a complete scan of all UAE systems to check whether or not you have a status or ban and recommend the best approach to resolve it.
The service price is 1000 dirhams. If you are interested, please send us a copy of your passport or Emirates ID via WhatsApp.
Hi,
You cannot assume that you are released because the charges were dropped; you need to follow up with the police using the report number to ensure that the report has been saved and any travel ban issued against you has been lifted.
Thanks!

Dear Inquirer,
It appears that the case might have been dropped, and any travel ban lifted.
However, it's advisable to verify your travel status with GDRFA or request confirmation from the police. It is best to have a lawyer present to prevent any risks that may occur.
If you need further clarification, you can contact us.
Dear Questioner,
Based on your description and current findings, it seems likely that either the complainant has dropped their case against you or that there was insufficient evidence for prosecution, which would suggest that any travel ban has likely been lifted as well.
Thank you for reaching out to me regarding your recent experience!
The fact that you were released without any documentation and there are no updates on the Dubai app could indicate that the case may have been dropped or is not being pursued actively at this moment.
However, this does not automatically confirm that the case is entirely closed or that any travel ban has been lifted.
It's essential to verify the current status of the case and ensure there are no pending legal issues that could arise later.
I recommend that we conduct a thorough check through the appropriate legal channels to confirm the exact status of the complaint, any potential travel restrictions, and ensure your complete legal clearance.
Please reach out to me directly through WhatsApp or phone at [--------] to discuss this further and to arrange a detailed consultation if necessary.
Best regards,
Suhail Rana
