Received a stop the search certificate. Should I submit it to the police to lift travel ban?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have received a stop the search certificate from Dubai Public Prosecution.
Kindly advise if I need to submit the same to the concerned police station or if it will automatically lift the travel ban.
Hello,
If you received a stop the search certificate, it means Dubai Public Prosecution cleared your name.
However, the lifting of the travel ban might not be automatically updated.
You can follow up with the Dubai police to confirm the ban is lifted.
Dear Inquirer,
We are pleased to serve you and address your inquiries.
You must submit the decision to the police station so that the travel ban can be completely lifted.
If anything else is required, don’t hesitate to contact us via email or call our offices in Dubai or Sharjah.

Dear Questioner,
Thanks for your inquiry!
According to UAE law, the stop the search certificate issued by the public prosecution will automatically lift the travel ban. You do not need to submit it to the concerned police station.
However, it is always recommended to keep a copy of the certificate with you for future reference.
It is also advisable to confirm with the public prosecution or the police station if the travel ban has been lifted before making any travel plans.
Kindly feel free to contact us via email or phone for any further inquiries.
Greetings,
Dear Questioner,
If you receive a certificate to stop the search, the arrest, summons, and travel ban procedures will be lifted automatically.
