Am I responsible for insurance and visa fees upon early contract resignation?

Dear Sir/Madam,

My contract is for 2 years, limited. I resigned after 1 year and 5 months. The company asked me to cover medical insurance, labor insurance, visa status change, and Emirates ID charges.

Am I liable to pay this amount to the company? Please let me know the calculation of the leave salary.

Is the calculation based only on basic salary and HRA allowance or the full salary including all allowances?

Residence and recruitment fees are at the heart of the employer’s obligations in the United Arab Emirates in accordance with the law of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Under no circumstances are they entitled to request a refund of these amounts from you or to deduct them, except as an exception if it is explicitly stipulated in the employment contract or in a separate contract concluded.

In the event that the worker leaves work on his own initiative before the end of the employment contract, he shall bear the costs paid by the employer.

As for the vacation allowance, it is calculated on the basis of the basic salary.
