Is it possible to change lawyers when appealing a judgment?
Good evening,
I have received the judgment for my civil financial case. I intend to appeal this judgment, but I'm considering changing my lawyer as I am not entirely satisfied with their work.
I would like to know if this is possible and what steps need to be taken.
Thank You!

Good Evening,
Yes, you have the right to change your lawyer at any time, but you would need to check your contract with the legal office, especially the clauses related to termination and payment terms.

Dear Questioner,
A client is free to change their lawyer provided they fulfill their contractual obligations with them.
If the client terminates the retainer without acceptable grounds, the lawyer can claim the agreed full fee, or prorated to efforts provided.
In general, yes, you can change lawyer.

Dear Questioner,
Yes, it is possible to change your lawyer in the UAE. However, you will need to follow certain procedures and obtain the approval of the court before making the change.
Firstly, you will need to inform your current lawyer in writing that you wish to terminate their services. This should be done in a formal letter and should clearly state the reasons for terminating their services.
Next, You will have to cancel the Power of Attorney given to the previous lawyer. You will need to find a new lawyer to represent you in your case.
Once you have found a new lawyer, you will need to sign a new legal representation agreement with them and give them the POA.
After this, you will need to submit a request to the court to change your lawyer. The court will then review your request and may ask for further information or documentation.
