Is it legal if i work for different companies in different emirates for the same owner?
My employment visa is from a Dubai company and I am sitting in the same owner's other company in Sharjah and doing both companies' work.
Is this illegal?
If yes, what are the procedures to make it legal?
Both companies have the same single owner.
Greetings.
The owner can issue a no-objection certificate for your work in the other company and conclude a partial employment contract with you for the other company, so you can work in both companies legally.

Dear Inquirer
We are pleased to serve you and address your inquiries.
Yes, it is illegal. You need to transfer your residency to the Sharjah company. In this transition, you can obtain a no-objection certificate from the Dubai branch to work in Sharjah.
You must complete the process by obtaining residency in the Sharjah branch and then canceling your Dubai branch residency.
If anything, else is required, don’t hesitate to contact us via email or call our offices in Dubai or Sharjah.
Jasim Al Haddad Law Firm Legal Counsel and Consultations
It's important to understand the legal implications of working for two companies in the UAE, especially when both companies are owned by the same person and located in different emirates.
The UAE Labor Law permits holding two jobs, but regulations differ based on your visa type and working hours.
You have to ensure that your work for both companies doesn't involve conflicting duties or violate confidentiality agreements. Otherwise, there are no issues.

To make this arrangement legal, you will need to obtain written permission from both companies and have it approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE).
