I have a travel ban for a financial case at the police. Should I go to police to get more info?
Hello.
I have a travel ban in the UAE, and my lawyer has informed me that I have a financial case.
However, obtaining all the details is currently challenging as my case is still at the police station, and we must wait for a few more weeks until it's transferred to the prosecutor's office.
I'm confused about not getting my case details and the need to wait.
Should I visit the police station myself?
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question, I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.
Visiting the police station yourself is not recommended. Continue working closely with your lawyer, as they are best equipped to navigate the UAE's legal processes. Be patient, as legal matters in the UAE can take time.

Dear A.,
Hope you are doing well!
Kindly note that it's not advisable to go to the police station as they may keep you there.
It will be better if you make a Power of Attorney to check all the cases in the UAE on your behalf, so we can check it with the courts, police stations, and public prosecution.
Thereafter submit requests to get a copy of the file so the lawyer can insert the statement on your behalf, and then submit a request to transfer all the complaints to the public prosecution to make all the procedures and decide whether it will be closed or transferred to the court or you can ask your lawyer.
Kindly note that if you do not move forward your case will stay at the police station for years.
Our services would be charged based on hourly fees of AED 1,500 for partners, 1,200 for associates, and 400 for paralegals, however, we can offer a fixed fee.
If you have any other queries you can reach us through Email or via Mobile.
