In case of resignation, is the annual leave payment calculated on the basic or total salary?
Hi All,
I have decided to resign from my employment and take up a job with a new employer.
The offer letter has been signed and I have been given my start day for the 8th of June. I have two questions.
My employer has told me that my unused 10 days of annual leave will be calculated on my basic salary of 10,000 AED.
However, my total allowances including my basic salary are 18000. 5,053 for housing, 2,000 for transportation and mobile phone, and 842 for others.
So how should my employer be calculating my unused annual leave, on basic or total?
Also, I have a loan and credit card with no missed payments. Will my accounts be blocked after my visa is canceled and waiting for my new visa to come through?
Good day,
Kindly be Enlighted that the annual leave disbursement is calculated on the basis of the basic salary mentioned in your employment contract.
And regarding your credit card and loan account, it shall not affect your account given that you have not defaulted any payment.
But it is advisable to inform your bank about your change of employment by email, by attaching the new offer letter as a leave caution.
Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.
The matter of annual leave will be mentioned in the contract at the beginning itself.
You can contact the bank in order to inform them about the rest payment methods.
We can have a detailed discussion as a legal consultation with a service charge of 100$
The annual leave balance after the end of the contract is paid on the basis of the basic salary.
The loan is not related to the visa.
If you do not pay your loans, the bank will start taking action, whether you have a visa or not. Whether you work or you don't work.
