Avoiding jail sentence in Europe by relocating to the UAE
Dear Lawyers,
I am writing to seek your advice regarding a legal matter that concerns me.
I am currently facing a jail sentence in Europe and I am exploring the possibility of relocating to your country in order to avoid serving my sentence. I would like to know if I would be able to stay freely in your country if I were to do so.
I understand that the laws and regulations governing the admission of individuals with a criminal record into other countries can vary widely and that there may be limitations on the ability of individuals with a criminal history to obtain visas or residency permits.
Therefore, I would be grateful if you could advise me on the legal options available to me, and the likelihood of success of each option.
Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter!
Sincerely,
French Criminal
Dear questioner,
The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of France have signed three agreements in the judicial and legal fields.
The first includes mutual cooperation in criminal matters, the second is the extradition of criminals, and the third is the transfer of convicts between the two countries.
