Where does the UAE law stand if a Muslim resident wants to change religion?
Hello.
I'm having some personal issues with my family. I'm being harassed over my own beliefs. They're Muslims but I don't exactly believe in what they believe.
I'm officially a Muslim as that's what was assigned to me at birth. Is it legal for me to convert to a different religion?
Can I somehow legally make my family stop what they're doing?
Thanks.
Good morning,
You cannot convert to any other religion due to the fact that your family is Muslim and you have been registered as a Muslim initially.
We advise you to read more about Islam or you can visit Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Center For Islamic Culture, located in Al Barsha 3, Hadaeq Mohammed Bin Rashid, Dubai, floor 2.
Thanks.
You need to visit a law firm, to know the details of the problem and any place, knowing that you have to stick to your religion and no one is forcing you to give up your beliefs. The Islamic religion is a strong and true religion.
