Recovering the amount of a bounced cheque in Iran

Dear Sirs,

I loaned my colleague at work an amount of money and he gave a cheque in return.

This amount was never returned, and I was embarrassed to ask him every now and then until I understood he never intended to return it.

I went to the bank to cash the cheque and I knew that it surpassed its date.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do in this case.
