The proper procedures to claim the blood money for the heirs
My friend died in the UAE in a roadside accident.
We claim blood money but they demand a succession certificate.
What should we do to get that certificate?
You need to follow certain procedures after which you can get any money, property, or any kind of claim related to the deceased in the UAE.
You also need to do the following process if he has a will.
Under UAE laws, if anyone dies, then you first need to make a succession certificate from the personal status court and for that, you need Power of attorney from legal heirs, two witnesses.
That proceeding court will decide the legal heirs of the deceased. Generally, wife, parents, and kids are the legal heirs.
After that, file a petition for blood money to receive from public prosecution.
After getting blood money amount AED 200,000, you must file a civil case against the Insurance company to receive more compensation for the legal heirs of the deceased.
