Clearing cases in the UAE and obtaining police clearance certificate

I have unpaid credit card dues from multiple Dubai banks since Nov 2012.

I could not pay the same as my company was closed and they removed me without intimation.

Wish to clear the outstanding dues, release any criminal case against me and get a police clearance certificate from Dubai police.

At the outset, I would like to state that your issue is resolvable if the right legal measures are taken by you.

Firstly, can you advise if you provided the banks with security cheques? If yes, then how many?

Secondly, are you aware of any cases being filed by the banks against you? If yes, then please provide details.

I would advise that you first undertake an inspection of police records all over the UAE to understand how many cases have been filed against you.

Once we have data about the cases filed against you, we can prepare a road map on how to clear the cases.

I am positive that your issue will be resolved as I have dealt with such cases before and successfully received Police Clearance Certificate for clients without having to pay the full outstanding to the bank.

Hello Hari,

Thanks for the quick response.

We only know that there is a police case on us as we tried taking PCC, however, it was rejected.

As far as I remember, I have given a security cheque to only one bank with the amount of ~15000-20000 approx.

We had contacted the bank via email to settle the account but never received any update.

However, we had received multiple calls from Indian recovery agents, but as we were not sure of their authenticity, we didn't follow that route.

We are very much interested to get this resolved asap. I will be calling you soon to take this up and help us in moving ahead.

Dear H.,

I would not advise you to settle with the recovery agents without verifying their authority by the way of a Power of Attorney.

We can directly clear the case from the Police/ Court and obtain PCC.
