Working on a visit visa without labour contract

Hi.

I am here in the UAE on a visit visa. A company gave me an offer letter, but it's already 2 months since I'm working here and still, they did not process my employment visa.

Now, my visit visa is going to expire soon. If they do not make my visa, can I file a case on the basis of offer letter? Where can I go for justice, and what do I have to do?

Please advise me.

Thanks

Please approach the Ministry of Labour as you cannot work on a visit visa.

It is illegal for an individual to work without a valid employment contract/ visa approved by the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation ("Ministry of Labour") or the concerned Free Zone Authority.

Employing or getting employed in the UAE without valid employment contract/ visa is a criminal offence in accordance with Article 11 of the Federal Law No. 6 of 1973 Concerning Immigration and Residence, states:

"The expatriate who obtains a visit visa may not work anywhere in the country with or without pay or for his own".

The person who takes up employment on a visit visa is equally guilty as any entity employing a person who is in the UAE on a visit visa.

Thanks.

I wanted to know if I can file a case against that company in the civil court on the basis of offer letter regarding not processing my employment visa since two months?
