Dear Questioner, I do not understand what do you mean by "convert the judgement to a fine rather than the three months". On what grounds you want to apply for this? Please note that theft is a crime punishable by the law. If you are the claimant who reports such crime, and you have civil rights over the stolen objects or funds, then the law protects your civil right to claim a refund or compensation for such loss of yours. However, the punishment for the criminal side of the case is not for you. It is the right of the public "by the law", and only the court has the right to relax or tighten such punishment.

Q: Dear whom it may concern, I would like to ask on behalf of a family member who faces a trial soon in Sharjah on charges of theft. He is concerned about the level of punishment he faces. How can I vacate my tenant if the rental agreement ends before the eviction notice deadline?

My Dubai tenant's rental agreement is ending by the end of September 2024 and the completion of 12 months of legally served Eviction Notice is the end of December 2024. I have two questions: (a) Can I send a rent increase notice 3 months before as the rent has increased as per the RERA rent calculator?
