How can I appeal a labor case judgment if I have a new evidence and the claim is less than AED 50,000?
Q: I recently lost a labor case in the Dubai Court with a claim value under AED 50,000. I understand there might be limited appeal options for such cases, but I`m unsure if they apply. Alternatively, seeking reconsideration from the court seems like a possibility. An attorney`s guidance on the most appropriate course of action for my situation would be greatly appreciated. I do have new evidence not submitted before if it helps with which path to pick. Thank you

Can I enter the UAE again if I had an absconding case that I cleared before I left the country?
Q: Hello! I had an absconding case before in the UAE but I left the country cleared. My question is can I enter the UAE again? I already cleared my absconding case before I went back to the Philippines. The person I spoke to over the phone who`s in the UAE now, told me that they can`t give me a visa for now. My wife works in a private school and wants to resign due to salary reduction. What to do?
Q: My wife works in a private school in Abu Dhabi. After the first 2-year contract, her contract is now being renewed every year. Her new one-year contract came with a revision of salary and position title and was given to her in the last week of the academic year. As per the contract, both employer and employee are obligated to provide a 3-month or 90-day notice period. In this case, a revision of the contract without giving the notice period is legal or not? Q: Hi, Good morning! I have some questions. I have an ongoing assault case against a person. The person is out on bail and told the court that he would resolve the issue with me, but he hasn`t. Is a rent increase notice sent by the previous property management still valid?
Q: Good afternoon, I have a Real Estate property management license in Dubai. I recently entered into a management agreement with a landlord of a fully occupied building. Now, I am dealing with a situation where I can`t send rent increase notices 90 days prior because my company was not managing the building 90 days ago. If the previous real estate company did send these formal notices, can we consider those valid for us as well? In the worst case, where we cannot reach an agreement with the tenant and open a lawsuit in RDC, can we present the notices that were not made by us but were still made in compliance with the laws? As per RERA and UAE laws, can these formal notices for rental increases be sent via email to the tenant`s registered email address? Or must it be a notarized rental increase notice from a notary public for the judge to approve the rental increase?

What can I do to defend myself in a theft case filed wrongfully against me?
Q: Hello, Please, can anyone guide me to the next step? I went to the police station to check if I had a travel ban and it was confirmed. When I asked them what the case was I knew it was stealing (theft) and forwarded it to the court. My question: do I need to go to court to follow up on my case as I have important evidence in my hands to prove that I do not belong to that case filed against me? How can I get my promised cash back from the real estate agent if he left the company?
Q: An agent from a company in the housing space promised me 3% cash back from the brokerage if I booked the house through him. He has sent this understanding over email from his company email. He also paid 2% but before he paid the remaining 1% he left the company. Now despite sending numerous emails, the company is not responding. I put a bad review on Google and their lawyer warned me for a complaint with Dubai police. I removed my review as not sure of the laws. Tell me my next steps and whether the review can get me in trouble. Also, can I go to the police with the email to get support?

Can the new landlord evict us instantly for violating the "family use only" clause?
Q: Good Afternoon, We rent around 50 apartments for hotel staff accommodation in Dubai. This building has been sold to another person. The new owner is asking us to evacuate the building as soon as possible because he is selling these apartments. We have had the same accommodation since last year. Now, he is using a point mentioned in the contract: "3. This flat is for (Family Use Only), otherwise, the landlord has all rights to vacate the tenant from the property instantly and the tenant loses his/her rights and all the benefits under this lease, and the tenant agrees to this term. Pets not allowed." My question is: Does he have the right to force us to leave, and what is the grace period allowed for us to evacuate the apartments? Our current contract expires in January 2025.
