Q: My relative is staying with his friend. His friend was arrested for drug trading (MDMA). My husband also got arrested, but he is not involved in trading. He is a first-time offender in drug use. He got arrested two months ago and he is in Ajman, Jurf jail. He is asking us to give money to a lawyer to make the court order and release fast. Is it possible? How long will it take for his release and court order? What will be the court order?

Q: I received a termination letter from my company on January 31st, 2025, with a one-month notice period, stating my last working day as February 28th, 2025. The reason given for the termination is "considering the current business scenario, the company has considered measures to reorganize the business." Could this be considered arbitrary dismissal? Am I entitled to any compensation or benefits from the company as a result of this termination?

How do I handle a landlord’s case over an unfair rent increase and security deposit?
Q: Hello, My landlord and I are having a problem with a rent increase. The landlord gave me a rent increase notice 90 days ago, which was higher than the rental index, and he demanded a 10% extra security deposit which I rejected. He also tried to force me to leave the house, but I have no proof of this. I went to the RDC office and filed a complaint, after which I received a letter from the RDC stating that my rent would remain the same. However, the landlord rejected the application and said I could only renew the lease with a 10% increase, a 10% security deposit, and four cheques, which I also rejected. Now, he has filed a case against me, and the hearing is in February. Kindly advise me!

Q: Is it advisable to submit a voice record of a minor child (8 years old) and father`s conversion as evidence to the court which provides details of the events and how her mother is influencing her or couching regards to child custody case and asking her to ditch her father? Q: Hello, I am writing to clarify the situation regarding my resignation. I officially resigned on December 31st, 2024, and according to my understanding and the initial agreement, my notice period was to end on January 31st, 2025. However, my contract was amended a few months ago to reflect a two-month notice period. I would like to emphasize that I have not signed this amendment, and the employer is blaming me for not signing the amended contract and will take action against me. Please let me know how you would like to proceed, as I am eager to ensure a smooth transition and complete all required handover tasks within the original notice period. I have already completed my notice period, but the employer is still forcing me to serve one more month, which I cannot do as I have another company to join on February 14th. The ladder to the roof of the row of townhouses is on my property. Am I obligated to give access to the ladder?
Q: I live in an end townhouse I own in Dubai. The only ladder to the roof of the row of townhouses is on my property and there is no way of getting to the ladder without going onto my property. This has led to lots of people entering my yard, opening the access to the ladder, and heading to the roof. The ladder is right next to my front door, and while it is in use it blocks the path to my door. No one has asked me if they can do this. Am I required to give access to the ladder? There is no clause in my title deed that shows it as an easement. Can I deny them access? If someone falls while using the ladder, am I liable for damages?+3
