Q: Hello, I was in an RTA accident about a year ago, which resulted in a police case. I stayed in the hospital for a month and was then discharged. When I tried to go back home for recovery, I found out that there was a travel ban on my passport due to the pending case. The court ruling was to pay a fine, which I did. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have an inquiry about my friend who was detained by immigration in Abu Dhabi and taken to CID. They said he is being investigated for a hit-and-run accident, but they are not providing much information. My friend gave his car to someone else to drive, and the driver was involved in a minor accident. The driver said he stopped at the side of the road after the accident, but a police officer told him to move his car to the parking lot near Dubai Mall. The driver did as he was told, and a taxi was also involved in the accident. Everyone was safe, but after they parked, the driver of the first car told the driver of my friend`s car to go further down the road because there were a lot of cars. The driver of my friend`s car couldn`t find the other driver, so he left the scene. What can happen in this scenario? How to make the bank allow me to enter the UAE without paying the full loan?
Q: Dear All, Please advise me on this issue. Your help and guidance will be appreciated! I am writing to discuss the repayment of the loan amount that I owe. I was asked to pay an amount of AED 15,000. Unfortunately, my current financial situation does not allow me to pay this amount as I am going through a hardship. However, I am determined to fulfill my financial obligations as soon as I start working. I can currently afford to pay an amount of AED 1,000, which is the maximum amount I can allocate towards the repayment for now. As soon as I enter the UAE, I will be in a more stable financial position and I can begin repaying the loan on a monthly basis. How can I get a refund for a tourism package that I was not provided with?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, In January 2013, I subscribed to a tourism package with a registered company in the UAE. We signed a contract and paid AED 11,000 for the package. However, the company has not been providing us with the promised services. We have decided to cancel the subscription and request a refund. The company initially said that we would be eligible for a refund after 6 months, but now they are saying that we will only be refunded after 1 year, and that is only if management approves. The exact clause that describes the cancellation policy is: “A subscription cancellation request received within 7 days of the enrollment/payment date may be eligible for a refund after deducting 30% administration charges and the cost of any utilized services, if any.” Their subscription fee is 11000 and we were not informed of a separate administration charge. Q: Dear all, My husband is a real estate agent who found a client who wants to exchange Chinese Yuan to USDT. He then found a friend`s friend who runs an Over-The-Counter (OTC) exchange house that is not licensed in the UAE. They agreed on a referral fee for my husband if the transaction is successful. The client transferred the CNY to the OTC exchange house and sent a screenshot of the transaction. The OTC released the USDT to the client without checking if they had actually received the money. One day later, the OTC realized that they had not received the money and the client had disappeared. The OTC is now threatening my husband to bear the loss because he introduced the client to them.
