Can my community deny access to parking and facilities if I signed a tenancy contract but no Ejari?
Q: Good afternoon, Hope you are all in good health! I`m renting a property in a community, and this is my second year. I have a tenancy contract signed by both the landlord and me; however, Ejari will take some time to be processed. I understand that, as per the community rules, access cards for community facilities (such as the pool, gym, etc.), along with the parking access card, will be deactivated until I get Ejari. However, is this legal? Since I have paid the rent and have a signed tenancy contract, can they do this? My questions: 1. Does the community have the right to deny me access to parking and facilities if I have a valid tenancy contract but no Ejari? 2. If they have the right, then that`s okay. But if they don`t, what should I do if they stop me from using my parking space? 3. Should I call the police if security denies me access to parking? Thank you so much in advance. Q: Hello, I`ve been working in the company for the past 18 months, and I have submitted my resignation after receiving a good offer from another employer. My labor card is showing as expired in MOHRE (it seems the PRO didn’t process it properly at the time of visa stamping for the two-year labor card). Meanwhile, my Emirates ID is valid and active. Should I wait for the cancellation paper (even though my labor card is expired) after completing my notice period? I am a pregnant teacher and need to travel back home before the end of my contract. How can I do this?
Q: I am a married pregnant teacher, with a renewed contract starting next August 2025 and running until August 2026. The school suddenly stated I was not meeting their standard of lesson delivery - and I recognize it - so they said they would review my renewed contract. After stating my case to my principal and my concerns as a mom-to-be, they asked me whether I wanted to stay or not next year to see what they could offer me. The truth is I do not want to stay, as it will be an inspection year, I will be absent for 3 to 4 months to have the baby and I do not want the pressure of when I go back. However, the implication is that I would have to fly home to South America by the end of my current contract (August 2025) which will be impossible on my 37-38 pregnancy week. It seems I have to break my current contract to fly home earlier but I am afraid this will leave them free of the responsibility of giving me partial maternity benefits. I am not sure what to do.

Q: Hi, I am a tenant living in the same apartment for the last 5 years. My tenancy contract is expiring in the month of May 2025. I want to renew my contract this time but only for 3 months until August. I communicated the same to my owner through the real estate who is handling the property. Initially, they said that it would be possible but the current market rent would apply. When I checked, I found they could not increase my rent as per the rental index and I told them this. After that, they said that they would not renew the contract for 3 months. If I want, I can renew for the entire year and then vacate when I want by paying the penalty of 2 months. In this scenario, I want to know if it is legally correct on their part to refuse to renew my contract for 3 months. Can you please guide me?+3
