Will my father’s unpaid debts affect my re-entry to Dubai on a tourist visa?
Q: Hello, My father had some debts due in Dubai, and at that time, he was unable to pay them and still hasn’t. We left the country in 2017, but my mom and I were under his sponsorship, and we didn’t cancel our residency visas. Now I need to go back to Dubai on a work trip. I want to check if this might have any effect on me re-entering on a valid tourist visa. I’ve checked the ICP website, and it shows that my residence permit has been cancelled.

Should a legal notice be bilingual, in English and Arabic?
Q: Should a legal notice be bilingual? I want to send a legal notice to my business partner (non-Arab). I went to an official translator and got an official translation into Arabic. Now I will go with three printouts to the Notary Public. It is about 8 pages in Arabic and 8 pages in English. Question: Should I only take the Arabic printout with me and get that stamped by the Notary, then ask TABLEEGH to send the English version as an attachment to the Arabic notice? Or should I take all 16 pages (8 Arabic + 8 English) and get the notary stamp on the last page? The reason I ask is that sometimes the Notary does not like long notices.

Will the court rule based on the expert’s higher report or my lawyer’s lower claim?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am currently involved in a court case against a developer who failed to fulfill his obligations under our contract. My lawyer filed the lawsuit at the beginning of the case, claiming the return of the amounts I paid. Later, the court appointed an expert. The expert has now issued his report and concluded that the developer owes me a much higher amount than what was originally claimed by my lawyer, as the expert also included items such as lost profit and other damages. I am confused and would like your guidance: in my situation, will the court’s decision be based on the expert’s report, or only on the lower amount requested by my lawyer in the lawsuit? Q: I had some debts when I left the UAE, which I paid later while in the UK. This was in 2017 when I left the UAE. I want to check if there`s a travel ban or any blacklist kind of status for me, as I want to travel to Dubai soon. I have lost the Emirates ID card, and I have a new passport number as I had to renew the passport. All I have is a scanned copy of my old passport and the visa page. Q: Hello, I have been working at a company in DMCC for nearly 5 years. I work in sales with varying annual results, ranging from overachieving to underachieving in a difficult market. This year, my manager gave me a very high target and lower targets to my colleagues. Our sales are mostly achieved in the last 3 months of the year when companies finally spend their annual budget. Now, my manager has suddenly decided to terminate me without any warning because of performance issues. Q: Subject: Hello, My name is M. R. F. Z., a Sri Lankan national currently in Dubai. I urgently require legal guidance regarding my immigration status and next steps. Briefly: An out-pass was issued without my knowledge due to visa complications. I need to exit the UAE on this out-pass and explore options to return on a visit visa, then adjust status to a spouse residence visa (by status change). I am uncertain whether it is mandatory for me to fly back to Sri Lanka, or if I can exit to a nearby country such as Oman or another GCC country and re-enter for the spouse visa process. Due to family circumstances, it is very difficult for me to travel to Sri Lanka at this time, so I would strongly prefer the nearest country option if legally possible. Q: I am writing to formally seek your guidance and assistance regarding my Technical Trade License and associated joint bank account. I hold a Technical Trade License together with my business partner, Mr. K. M., who has been out of the country for the past 2–3 months. During this period, he has been unreachable and has not responded to any calls or communication. Additionally, my partner has taken an amount of AED 30,000 from me, which has not yet been repaid. We also maintain a joint bank account under the company, which I wish to close. However, the bank requires both partners’ signatures for cancellation. As my partner is absent and not cooperating, I am unable to proceed.
