Q: I was detained by the Dubai Police for a false case against me by a company before 7 years and later the case was withdrawn by the company as they realized it was a false case. Will it reflect in my criminal record? I have applied for a clear criminal certificate for a new job. If I get that in my record I will not be getting the job. How to solve this?

Q: Hello, I need your help with advice. I own a property and recently signed a contract with a new tenant who is supposed to move by March 1st. But I haven’t received the deposit or first payment and when I asked about the payment, he said that he is out of the country till mid of March and will check how to sort this issue. Will the contract be void if he didn’t pay the deposit yet? Once I signed it, I had to go through the rental dispute center against him even though our contract hadn’t even started yet. How to cancel the MoU to buy an apartment with the broker if the bank did not approve the loan?
Q: Hi, I have a situation where I signed an MoU and gave my security deposit to the seller`s agent. However later, the bank valuation of the property is lower than the selling price. On my MoU, it has a clause that “the buyer has a right to cancel/negotiate if the bank valuation is not the same as MoU.” I tried to negotiate, however, we didn`t agree on the price so I asked to cancel. Now the agent is threatening me that they will not cancel the MoU and that will deposit my cheque. Later I also came to know that the person I am dealing with is not the same person whose name is mentioned as a broker in the MoU. The agent I am dealing with is constantly messaging me with threats. I decided not to speak to him and instead, I wrote an email to the broker whose name is mentioned on the MoU but received no response. I am on a very tight timeline as I need to vacate my apartment in 3 weeks, I found another unit but I don`t know if I can pursue this while the initial MoU still not canceled. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My brother`s company has not renewed his insurance since April 2023. He was not aware of this until he switched companies in December 2023. Now, the new company is processing the insurance details, and they have informed him that there is a fine to pay. They advised him to talk to the previous company about settling it. Q: My company told me to find a new job last November, as they will stop operation from January 2024, though they renewed their Trade License. They said they have no intention of renewing my visa. This 1 staff sent a resignation due to delayed salary but the management agreed to reject his resignation and talk to him that the company still needs him. This staff accepted the proposal then later on after 3 months, this staff did not go to work. It`s like he will come twice a week and then he will not come again. Now he sent an email to give him a termination letter. The management decided to accept his resignation ssubmitted 3 months ago but this employee wants a termination letter. What is right? Unpaid for graphic design work. Can I report and recover my dues?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I worked as a graphic designer for a crypto project, and the company is registered in Dubai. Last July and August, I sent my work at the end of each month as usual. The person responsible for the company owns an Emirati residency permit but currently lives in Austria. When I made the deal, he instructed me to wait for the payment and provided various excuses to avoid paying me the total amount of $4400. Since then, every month, I have been sending messages to the team requesting my payment, but I only receive excuses. Last month, I sent him a message, and he disrespected me as a woman. He informed me that the project is dead, and he won`t pay. However, the company is still active and registered in Dubai. I have all the proofs, including chats and screenshots. I feel scammed, and this situation is negatively impacting my mental health as it is unfair. My question is, can I report him to ensure he pays me? Is there anything I can do? Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I resigned from my company during my probation period. However, they rejected my resignation, asked for compensation for visa fees, and did not release my salary. That’s why I filed a complaint to MOHRE. However, they also filed a complaint against me claiming 6000 AED. My complaint to MOHRE is still under process and I am still waiting for an update from them. I need to return home to my country; however, what`s confusing me is whether I am allowed to leave and go back without any issues at the immigration. Is an NOC required when joining a new employer, as per the offer letter?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have signed an offer letter which contains the following: "The employee is not allowed to work with the company`s client or direct competitor on the end of the employment without prior permission of the company". But my labour contract with MOHRE doesn`t contain any such provision. Labour contract only contains the following provision: The Second Party shall be committed not to work in the same competing business of the First Party in UAE for the period of Two Years if the employee has terminated the employment contract or if their employment contract had expired without prejudice to the First Party’s legal or contractual obligations. So if I want to join a client after cancelling my existing job & labour contract, is the provision for getting the "prior permission to join the client" mentioned in the offer letter still valid? Does the offer letter have any validity after my resignation & cancellation of the existing labour contract? Do I have to obtain an NOC? أسئلة وأجوبة
