Q: Hello, I`ve submitted my evidence to the prosecutor that the amount in my cheque case has already been paid; however, the person I borrowed the money from does not agree, as he wanted it to be at 15% interest only. Now, the prosecutor has referred my criminal case (cheque case) to the court, and I will be having a remote trial session. Is it necessary or allowed for me to have a lawyer with me during the remote trial session?

Can the court replace an expert report that ignored critical evidence?
Q: Hi, In a commercial case filed against me by my partner, an expert report has been issued against me, as the expert neglected my documents, even though they were critical evidence in the dispute. Suing a salon for damages after a pedicure resulted in severe injury and distress
Q: Hello, I am wondering how I can sue or report a ladies` salon in Abu Dhabi for physical and emotional distress after a pedicure led to urgent care for a severe infection. I was prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, painkillers, and given an injection in my buttocks. I am now on crutches and unable to walk. A week after the pedicure, I underwent surgery to have my nail and skin surgically removed as a result. I spoke with the salon the day after my appointment when my foot swelled up and I went to the hospital. The technician refused to let me speak to the owner and begged me not to report her. I am extremely distressed and fed up, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I have all my medical records, proof of payment to the salon, and WhatsApp messages between myself and the salon discussing my toe. What legal grounds do I have to sue the salon for damages? Can the supplier refuse to pay the VAT on a referral fee invoice and ask me to bear it?
Q: Last year I set up a Dubai mainland sole proprietorship company dedicated to interior design. One of the material suppliers I have specified (tiles) for a project agreed to pay me a referral fee of 10% of the end client order. Now I have invoiced them that 10% + VAT, however, they don`t want to pay the VAT. They suggest I deduct it from my own 10% if I am keen to produce a tax invoice featuring VAT. I signed an MOU to purchase a property and paid the amount but the seller didn't provide NOC. What to do?
Q: I decided to purchase a penthouse in Abu Dhabi. I signed an MOU with the seller through a broker. The seller had a mortgage obligation with the bank. The mortgage amount was slightly higher than the transaction amount. According to the terms of the MOU, I paid off the seller’s mortgage to the bank, covering the purchase amount, while the seller paid the remaining balance. Sometime after my payment, the broker sent me a Mortgage Release document confirming that the penthouse no longer had any encumbrances. Next, the seller was supposed to obtain the NOC, after which we would go to the municipality to transfer the title. However, the seller has not obtained the NOC! According to the broker, the seller is disputing the amount assigned to him for payment by the management company and seemingly intends to sue the company. It has already been three months since my payment! The broker says that the seller is willing to sign a court document that would ensure my guarantees. Is this true?

What can I do if a company is recording voices in my house through a work laptop?
Q: Good Day! my concern is that I had a relationship with a boy and he went on vacation. As he requested to help him with his work during his vacation period, he gave me his laptop and told me his company would use some of his files remotely. I only have to open the laptop and keep it connected to the internet. They have done their work from time to time and I have seen they did the voice recording. When I checked, they voice-recorded the daily activities of my room. I asked my BF and he said he didn`t know about this and he asked his IT staff. IT Staff mentioned that as per his managing director; `s instructions, they did it and if anything happens he will hold the responsibility [I have a screenshot of this conversation]. Since I`m really worried about my privacy, I would like to know what I can do about this matter and how I can file a case against them. In a Partnership Business (civil company not LLC) of Partner A-50%, PartnerB-25%, and PartnerC-25% can Partner A who is the Managing Director of the Company authorize only one partner (eg: Partner C) as the sole Bank Signatory without the consent of Partner B? 2. How much would a process of evaluation of the Company asset and filing for a legal action to withdraw the partnership cost? Can I proceed with my investment case without paying the court fee upfront?
Q: Dear Lawyers, The judge has again rejected our second request to delay the court fees. Our lawyer has advised that we can proceed with the re-registration of the case as soon as the court fee payment is received from your end. The court fee is 21k, which I am unable to pay. Is there any option to request paying the fee after the case is won? This case involves a 400k investment where I didn’t get my money back or any profit.
