My employer hasn't updated my labor card. Who is responsible for paying the fine?
Q: Hi, My employer has still not updated my labor card, and it still shows as expired in MOHRE and UAE Pass, even though my Emirates ID and residence visa are valid. When I checked the fine on the labor card, it was 400 AED. I have informed the PRO and the employer about this problem several times, but they are ignoring it. I am now considering resignation with a notice period according to protocols. Is this 400 AED fine on me or them? Please guide me!

Asked to pay for a full year of an online community subscription after termination. How to respond?
Q: Hello, I would like to get your opinion on this matter. I subscribed to an annual subscription of an online community and paid for the first month. Within 20 days, I sent an email requesting to terminate my account. Now, after 5 months, I have received a legal notice stating that I am required to pay for the entire year, even though I haven`t used the service. How should I approach this situation? Thank you!

I was deported because of old TB scars on my lung. How can I lift the ban?
Q: Hi Sir, How Are You? I am from India and I am a salesman at XYZ Shop In Sharjah. After completing 2 months, I went for a medical test my blood test was good but in the X-ray, they found a little scar on my left lung. They transferred my medical report to (EHS) where I met a doctor who told me that I had TB. But I don`t know when I had this disease, maybe in childhood. Then I went for a gold TB test at a medical center where I met a TB specialist. After completing my sputum or blood test for 3-4 days, my test came negative. So I collected all my reports and also a request letter from the doctor about my health, but they did not see my report and deported me. I`m really worried that I cannot come to the UAE for my entire life not only on a resident visa but also tourist or visit visa. Please can you help me? Is there any legal process that I can lift my ban for at least a tourist visa?2024/05/30

How can I get my labor rights after filing execution without response from the employer?
Q: I have got the final labor case judgment date of 20/03/2024 and I waited for more than one month, but the company did not respond. So I registered an execution case dated 30/04/2024 in Dubai Courts and issued a notice to the company. One person visited the company location but a person from the company said that the company was not there, so the court representative took a picture of the location and reported back to the court. On 23/05/2024, I visited the Al Adheed Center again and they issued a digital notice by email, and till now the company has not responded. I need your expert advice, what should I do now? Please note that the company is Dubai-based. The license is LLC and it`s already blocked due to a group complaint against them by the MOHRE.2024/05/30

What is the process for claiming financial expenses at the Dubai Traffic Prosecution Court?
Q: Hello, I would kindly request some information on the process of the Dubai Traffic Prosecution Court. Facts: 1. I am the affected party (Green) as per the police report. There is no dispute from the other driver. No other parties are involved. 2. The police advised to open a file with the Dubai Traffic Prosecution Court to claim financial expenses that occurred as the result of the accident (loss of earnings, medical expenses not covered by insurance, etc). Questions: 1. What is the process of the Dubai Traffic Prosecution Court? Do I need to submit documents prior to the court date and if so how is this done? 2. Will the contract be automatically canceled if the bank does not process the mortgage?
Q: Hello, Legal Advice ME I am writing to seek your advice on my ongoing process of buying an apartment. I have signed contract F, which is valid until 15 Aug 2024. My plan was to buy it financed by a mortgage. I got my pre-approval and signed the contract, then passed it to the agency to complete all needed paperwork. The agency took over with the bank, and then I found out that the apartment, although not a hotel, is listed as a hotel apartment on the title deed. The bank said processing this would take a very long time. I applied with a different bank, again all pre-approved, but as soon as they found out about the property type stated on the title deed, they said they cannot finance it. My questions are: - If the first bank is unable to process all the paperwork on time, will the contract be automatically canceled? - Can I cancel the contract based on the fact that I was not made aware of the property type stated on the title deed before signing the contract? Would I get the 10% deposit back?+2

Q: I sent a legal notice to my tenant through Dubai court for eviction. But the dates for the tenancy contract in the Arabic portion are wrong. The dates in English are correct. Why did my employer falsely file an absconding case against me?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Before my visa expired, I informed my manager and the owner that I did not want to renew it. I have all the proof that I left the job and the accommodation with the owner and manager`s approval. However, after a few months of waiting for my cancellation papers, they falsely filed an absconding case against me, which they later removed, citing a filing error and miscommunication with the owner`s staff. Q: Hi there. I have taken a villa for rent in Mirdif, Dubai, and the owner handed over the property in an unlivable condition. So I didn`t want to stay in the property and wanted to end the contract. Q: Hi. My contract expired 4 months ago and I am trying to contact my current landlord who was a bank. They were telling me to go to the office and renew it. I visited the office, and they told me we sold this building and the new owner will contact you. I was trying to renew because I need Tawtheq for the bank and other work. After 4 months, the new management company sent me an email in which they increased the rent and also added a service charge of AED 3000 and an admin fee of 500, which was not in my contract.
