Please advise on the process for appealing a criminal case after the Public Prosecutor has already appealed.
Thank you

Hello,
You can appeal a criminal case within the legal timeframe of 15 days from the date of issuance of the judgment or its notification, in accordance with Article 211 of Federal Decree-Law No. (38) of 2022 on Criminal Procedures Law.
This timeframe applies regardless of whether the Public Prosecutor has already filed an appeal.
If you are the defendant, you can appeal the judgment or penalty issued against you. If you are the civil claimant, you may appeal regarding your civil rights awarded or denied by the court.
The fee for filing an appeal in criminal cases is AED 500, as per the fee structure of the Dubai Public Prosecution.
Appeals can be submitted through the Dubai Public Prosecution’s official website.
You will need to provide the judgment, and a detailed memorandum outlining the grounds of your appeal, and pay the applicable fees online.
If you require assistance with drafting your appeal or navigating the process, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email.
I am available to provide expert legal guidance tailored to your case.
