When settling labor court fees, we were asked to pay "case closure fees." What are they?
Dear Lawyers,
We recently remitted payment for court fees and litigation charges associated with a two-level appeal process in the Labor Court.
This action followed the issuance of the appeal decision, which also mandated the case's transfer back to the Court of First Instance.
However, upon attempting to settle the aforementioned fees, we were also informed of the necessity to pay "case closure fees."
We request clarification regarding the significance of this unexpected charge and the status of the appeal.
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention!
The case closure fees are a separate charge that is required to close out the case completely once the appeal process has concluded.
These fees are typically for administrative purposes and are necessary to officially close the case file in the court system.
Regarding the status of the appeal, it appears that the appeal decision has been issued and the case has been transferred back to the Court of First Instance.
It is important to ensure that all fees, including the case closure fees, are settled in order to finalize the resolution of the case.
If you have any further questions or require additional clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to the appropriate court authorities or legal representatives handling the case.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Dear Questioner,
Generally, no additional judicial fees are requested upon sending the case back to the first court based on an appeal court decision.
Therefore, we assume that the payment requested from you is either a litigation fee or an expert fee.
For litigation fees, you have to review the legal fees agreement with your lawyer to know if your lawyer is entitled to such right.
