Despite paying for ILOE insurance, the insurance company denies my claim. Is that legal?
Good day,
I received a notice of termination two weeks ago. I paid for annual ILOE insurance in Dubai in July 2023, but the insurance company informed me that I am not eligible to claim.
Is that true?
My feeling is that they do not want to cover it.
Please let me know if you think I am qualified to submit the claim.
Thanks a lot!
Dear Questioner,
You are qualified. We can send them a strong legal notice to get compensation for that also.
Please contact our senior legal consultant Mr. Muhammad Abdullah for further details.
Dear Questioner,
You qualify for an ILOE claim if you lost your job due to reasons beyond your control. This includes termination by your employer, redundancy, or company closure.
Resignation or termination due to disciplinary action wouldn't qualify.
Also, you must have been subscribed to the ILOE program and paid contributions for at least 12 consecutive months before losing your job.
Double-check the terms and conditions of your ILOE insurance policy document you received upon subscription.
This document outlines specific eligibility criteria and claim processes.
If you want further explanation, we will help you.
Hello dear,
The insurance includes compensation if you are dismissed from work without a legitimate reason, but if the dismissal occurred for a legitimate reason; not an arbitrary one, the insurance will not compensate you.
