I haven't been paid my salary for 2 months and can't afford legal action. What to do?
Hi,
What can I do if I haven't received my salary from my employer for 2 months and I don't have money to open a case?

Hi,
If you have not received your salary for two months, you have the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE).
This can be done through their online portal or by visiting one of their offices. You do not need to pay any fees to file a complaint.
If you are unable to afford legal fees, you can also seek assistance from the Legal Aid Department of the Dubai Courts.
They provide free legal advice and representation to individuals who cannot afford a lawyer. Additionally, you can try to negotiate with your employer to resolve the issue amicably.
If this is not successful, you can file a case with the labor court. The court fees for labor cases are relatively low and can be paid in installments.
It is important to take action as soon as possible, as there is a time limit for filing a complaint with MOHRE or a case with the labor court.
If you wait too long, you may lose your right to claim your unpaid salary.
You will find a lawyer who will file the case for you with a reduced fee deposit and postpone the rest of the fees until after the ruling is issued.
Please send your employment contract so that we can review it and advise you correctly.
