Unfair deductions from final settlement after termination. What to do?
Hello,
My contract ended on September 22, but the company did not inform me until October 11 when they gave me a notice of non-renewal.
On November 13, they sent me my final settlement, but they deducted one month's salary because I did not work from October 12 to November 10.
My visa expired on November 10, but my contract ended on September 22. They deducted money from my final settlement. What to do?
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
If your employment contract ended on September 22, and your employer did not provide proper notice or follow the contractual terms, you may have a valid grievance.
Review your contract, contact your HR department to discuss the issue, and if necessary, file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

Dear Questioner,
This is not a formal method of termination. You have every right to get a notice period under termination.
If they didn't inform you or didn't let you serve the same, you are entitled to receive a notice period salary together with your dues.
Otherwise, you can file a complaint against them in MOHRE.
If you need further clarification, we will arrange a legal consultation session for a charge of 28$.
