Can my previous company put absconding on me if I overstayed 6 days?
I'm on a canceled visa and just overstayed for 6 days.
I simply booked a flight to change my visa status and I was ready to pay a fine at the airport.
But I found that my previous company put absconding on me.
Now what to do? Is this legal?
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question, I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you with this matter.
If you've been marked as "absconding" by your previous UAE employer, take these steps:
First, communicate with your former employer to understand the situation. If that doesn't resolve the issue, contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) for mediation.
To maintain legal status, secure a new visa if your previous one is canceled. Addressing the absconding matter promptly is important, and keeping all related documents is advisable.

Dear Questioner,
Your employer had the right to place you as an absconded in order to proceed the final cancellation, and avoid any fines towards them.
You may discuss this matter with the employer to lift the ban.
Please send us the details by email and we will review and advise you on this matter.
