Bank account inheritance: Am I entitled to it, and can other heirs dispute my claim?

Dear Sir/Madam,

My relative passed away in Morocco, and I am from the UAE. He had a bank account, and neither I nor the bank know of any other relatives related to him.

Does this mean that I am legally entitled to his bank account?

Or, does it mean that if other potential relatives surface later, I will be considered a thief?

My relative died without writing a will.

They said there is something called inheritance declaration, is it the same as the will, or what is it and which party issues it?

It is a legal process that we need to submit to the court.

The court will inquire with the central bank, the economic department, the land department, and other relevant entities to determine the assets owned by the deceased.

Of course, the declaration of relatives is a must in order for the court to pass a ruling transferring these assets of the deceased to his/her heirs.
