س: مرحبًا، أشعر بالفضول بشأن عملية إلغاء التأشيرة. أريد أن ألغيها بشكل صحيح عندما أترك وظيفتي. هل يمكن أن يتم ذلك من قبل صاحب العمل عندما لا أكون في الإمارات العربية المتحدة إذا كان لدى صاحب العمل بطاقة هويتي الإماراتية الأصلية ونسخة من جواز السفر / تأشيرة الإقامة؟ هل سيطلب مني تقديم جواز سفري الأصلي في أي شيء؟ هل يمكن استكمال هذه العملية قبل تاريخ الإنهاء الفعلي للعقد؟ شكرًا لك

Can I claim my labor rights if my employer did not renew my contract?
Q: I am a doctor by profession, and my contract with my company was valid till June 2023. Last year in September 2022, I canceled my company visa to apply for Golden Visa. After stamping my Golden Visa, my company didn't provide me with a new contract. My question is can I continue working without a new contract? Do I have any rights or claim of my unpaid salaries from the court in such a scenario?

Will a golden visa remain valid in case of resignation from a job in Dubai?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have a golden visa that was issued on the basis of my being an executive. I have recently been offered work in Saudi Arabia, but I want to remain living in Dubai, as my family is working and attending school here. If I cancel my current labor contract through resignation, what happens to my golden visa? Does it remain valid for the remainder of its 10-year term?

هل أحتاج إلى تصريح عمل للعمل في الإمارات العربية المتحدة إذا كنت أحمل تأشيرة ذهبية؟
س: أتمنى أن تكونوا بخير! أنا حامل تأشيرة ذهبية ضمن فئة الفنانين. أعمل حاليًا كعامل حر برخصة مهنية فردية صادرة من مدينة دبي للإعلام. لقد تواصلت مع الإدارة العامة للإقامة وشؤون الأجانب، وأبلغوني أنه بصفتي حامل تأشيرة ذهبية، لا أحتاج إلى أي تصاريح أو تراخيص إضافية للعمل بشكل قانوني في الإمارات العربية المتحدة كعامل حر. هل هذا صحيح، وهل هناك أي قيود إذا لم يكن لدي تصريح عمل بالإضافة إلى تأشيرتي الذهبية؟ شكرًا لكم مقدمًا!

How can I know the reasons for rejecting my Golden Visa four times?
Q: Nationality: British Born: Sialkot, Pakistan I have now applied for the Golden Visa four times (once from Sharjah and three times from Dubai), but the "committee" rejected my applications despite my meeting all salary and academic requirements. We visited Al Jaffiliya and Awir centers multiple times. They advised me that my applications were always approved by the Golden Visa office and Immigration, but they were rejected by the "committee." There is never any reason mentioned in the system, so immigration assumes it is rejected by the "security department". There is no ban or any bad past immigration history. My name is a common Pakistani name, and it matches a few other people in their system, but they think it has nothing to do with a name mismatch. I am on a valid work visa and my visa gets renewed every 2 years without issue. My family (wife & 3 kids) have also been living here in Dubai with me for the last 8 years. Any idea what could be the issue and how can it be resolved? What should my next steps be? Thanks

سيدي العزيز / سيدتي العزيز، من المقرر أن يكون شيك الإيجار الخاص بي مستحقًا غدًا، ولسوء الحظ، لا أستطيع الوفاء به. طلبت من مالك العقار الانتظار بضعة أيام لكنه لا يريد الانتظار وقال لي إنه سيصرف الشيك غدًا. بالطبع الشيك سوف يرتجع، ما هو الإجراء بعد ذلك؟ هل هناك فترة سماح قبل الإخلاء لدفع الإيجار؟

What happens when the property is sold mid-lease?
Dear Sir/Madam, Does the existing tenancy contract between the tenant and the previous owner remain in force even after the new landlord has purchased the property in the middle of an ongoing lease? And when should a new tenancy contract be made? Should it be made immediately after the property has been sold, or at the end of the ongoing tenancy contract signed between the previous owner of the property and the tenant? Also, does a new contract have to be in place for the tenant to exchange the cheques, or does the existing tenancy contract with the previous owner remain valid for the purpose of exchanging the cheques?

Evicting an employee from school accommodation while a labor case is pending
Dear Sir/Madam, I was wrongfully terminated by my school under Article 44 on March 20th, 2023. I have a case in the labor courts, and the first hearing is on April 4th, 2023. However, my employer is asking me to vacate the school accommodation. I asked the Ministry of Labor and the courts, and they informed me that the school cannot evict me until the case is resolved. Is this information correct? I am currently unemployed and have nowhere else to go until I find another job.

If I have a travel ban in KSA, can I travel to the UAE on a work visa?
Hi, May you and your family be blessed. I'm extremely tense and need your kind feedback on the following issue. If I have a travel ban in KSA, can I travel to the UAE on a work visa? I have been visiting Dubai on a tourist visa without any problems. The ban was imposed because I had to leave KSA suddenly and could not return after an exit-entry, and I was unable to pay back my car EMI and credit card payment totaling 30k SAR, which I intend to pay off gradually now. When I left KSA, they only had my fingerprints at the time. I also understand that while coming for a visit to Dubai, only a retinal scan is done. On the other hand, when obtaining a work visa, UAE takes and registers fingerprints as well. Could this lead to any issues for me? I have finally obtained a better-paying job after a long time and can finally save up to pay off my debts. The case registered for which the travel ban is imposed is only for SAR 16000. As of now, I cannot afford to hire a lawyer to check in UAE. Thank you for your help!

Tenant's rights: Can my landlord evict me, raise my rent, and ban my pet?
Dear Sir/Madam, My landlord wants to evict me from the property where I reside. They have not provided a court order for eviction within the past 12 months. Additionally, they are requesting a 40% increase in rent and are insisting on a 6-month fixed-term renewal, despite the RERA index indicating no such increase. Furthermore, they have included an unreasonable clause that prohibits pets, even though I have lived on the property with a pet for over three years.  What options do I have if I do not agree to these demands?
