Q: I was looking to seek some legal advice regarding my case. I had a traffic accident that has been referred to the traffic court. No one else was involved or injured just me. My car crashed into a post. I am also fine, my car is not. I was taken to hospital but left of my own accord and went to the police station the next day. س: تسببت زوجتي في حادث سيارة بالإمارات يوم 7-1-2018، حيث صدمت شخصًا كان يعبر الطريق فكُسرت ساقة اليسرى. بعد ذلك، دخل هذا الشخص مستشفى الشيخ خليفة بأم القيوان، وأجرى جراحة وقال الأطباء أنه سيتمكن من السير في خلال شهر أو شهرين، وسيستغرق شفاء العظم بالكامل 6 أشهر. أخبرتنا الشرطة أن علينا تعويض هذه الشخص بأن ندفع له مبلغًا من المال بحيث لا يتقدم بشكوى، وإلا سيتوجب علينا دفع التعويض في المحكمة. 1.    نمتلك هذه السيارة منذ عام واحد وهناك تأمين كامل عليها. 2.    كنا مستعدون لتعويض هذا الشخص لكنه طلب مبلغًا كبيرًا. 3.    علاج هذا الشخص مجاني بالكامل بما في ذلك الجراحة. والسؤال: 1.    ما هي الآثار القانونية للحادث على زوجتي؟ 2.    كيف يمكننا إعداد أنفسنا للإجراءات القانونية؟ لم تقم الشرطة بتحرير القضية بعد، وسيارتي تحتاج للصيانة، لكنهم لم يعطونني الأوراق لصيانتها، وقالوا أن عليّ الانتظار. هل يمكنك مساعدتي من فضلك؟

Q: I was involved in a car crash in my immediate line manager's car in Abu Dhabi. We were stationary at lights when a second vehicle drove at speed into the back of the car, I was thrown violently forwards and cried out in pain when the seat belt restricted my forward movement and my neck made a cracking noise. The traffic police attended and called for an ambulance to take me to the emergency hospital for investigation and treatment. I was strapped to a spine board with my neck held in a brace. I was x-rayed and examined by the doctors and was told I had torn muscle tissue in my neck, for this injury they gave me medication that the company paid for. Eventually, my condition worsened and after an MRI scan, it was found that further injuries had been sustained.The police report made no mention of my injuries, yet the hospital report said the police had sent me and that I was injured. The third party insurers decline any responsibility as no injury was mentioned in the police report. What can I do?
