Dear User,

For the purpose of a company, first of all, you will be required to choose the business activity that you want to undertake.

Only then it can be suggested to you what are the licenses which you will be required to obtain.

Also, in case you are not Bahraini or GCC National, then various activities may not be allowed for you unless your company has 51% Bahraini national shareholding.

I could guide you better if you can tell me the business activity you would like to undertake.

Also, take notice that for different companies there are different kind of documents and formalities required.

I am going to sell products for kids. What about an online shop, would it be the same license?

Once you complete all the formalities of registration and your company is incorporated, then you can have an online website to market and sell your products too.

However, you will be required to comply with the domain name policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and comply with the rules and regulations pertaining to the online marketing, copyright, patent...etc.

Since it's still not clear what product you would be exactly selling, let's presume you will be involved in import, export and sale of children's garden games and furniture.

The requirement for this kind of business activity is as follows:

Age: Must be age 21 or older

Employment: Devoting self to doing business

Allowed for Americans: Yes

Allowed for Bahrainis: Yes

Allowed for GCC Citizens: Yes

Foreign ownership equal or less 49 %: Yes

Allowed for ICR (ICR: Individual Commercial Registration): Yes

Allowed for CCR (CCR: Company Commercial Registration): Yes

Kindly note that for the above activity no special license is required.
